Resumen: La Bolsa de Nueva York alcanzó un nuevo pico a finales de abril de 2019. La pregunta es por qué si todo indica que una recesión se acerca a los Estados Unidos. Un argumento tiene que ver con la nueva desregulación financiera. El presidente Trump, junto con los congresistas Tim Kaine y Mark Warner, propusieron la Ley de Crecimiento Económico, Asistencia Regulatoria y Protección al Consumidor con el fin de desregular la Ley Dodd-Frank. Ésta representa un paso atrás en la regulación financiera y prepara el terreno para nuevas burbujas especulativas. Los resultados hasta ahora son una nueva burbuja inmobiliaria y bursátil, sin crecimiento de la economía estadounidense detrás de ella, sino la codicia y la especulación financiera. |

Los problemas de la integración real y el Brexit

Resumen: La integración económica y política regional realmente existente, desde mediados del siglo XX, ha mostrado su cara más cruda con los procesos desatados por Grecia (2011), Portugal (2011) y, finalmente, por la salida de Gran Bretaña de la Unión Europea La Primer Ministro Teresa May inició el Brexit el 29 de marzo de 2017, sobre el Artículo 50 del Tratado de Lisboa que establece un periodo de dos años para construir acuerdos de salida. El plazo original se venció el pasado marzo, el plazo extraordinario está por vencerse. Las opciones son: una nueva prórroga al plazo; una aprobación forzada del acuerdo de May o; salida sin acuerdo. Con el Brexit, el Reino Unido va a descubrir que no son “El imperio británico”, sino una pequeña isla al Oeste del Canal de la Mancha. |

According to the Inter-American Development Bank, Latin America is an easy target for cyber-attacks because the region has no cyber infrastructure to resist or prevent them. It is in this context that some 20 Indian information technology (IT) companies employ more than 40,000 people in Latin America. These companies are driving the digitization of the region, using machine learning and artificial intelligence to take the region to Industry 4.0. India's brand in Latin America is through 'sophisticated' investments in the services and manufacturing sector, stimulating value-added sectors (a contrast to China's investments in raw materials). One Indian auto parts company alone, the Samvardhana Motherson Group, has 27 manufacturing plants in Latin America employing 25,000 people. The bottom line? Indian investment creates far more jobs on average. The India-Brazil relationship is probably the most important in the India-Latin America branch of relations, and the foreign minister's visit consolidated the various interests in bilateral ties, including the expansion of the India-Mercosur partial scope agreement. In Paraguay, the foreign minister inaugurated the new Indian embassy in Asuncion - India's fifteenth embassy in Latin America and the Caribbean. Fuente: |
